Neighborhood Help · Care CirclesFamilienNetz was born from the desire to make everyday life for families in Austria simpler and more connected. What began as a small local initiative has grown into a platform that now reaches thousands of families. Our focus is on practical support, reliable information, and genuine encounters – both digital and in person.
Every step was guided by the question: What do families really need to manage their daily lives well? The answers have shaped us and helped us grow.
From a conversation among neighbors, a regular playgroup emerged at the community center. It quickly became clear: the need for exchange and mutual support is enormous.
When in-person meetings were no longer possible, we built a small online platform. It enabled scheduling, swap meets, and digital consultation hours – and grew to over 500 active families within a few months.
With a dedicated team and initial funding, we further developed the platform: structured topic areas, a blog with everyday tips, and a moderated forum. The number of users rose to over 3,000.
Today, we collaborate with over 20 local partners – from family centers and libraries to sports clubs. Our offerings include regular events, a digital resource library, and a growing network of volunteers.
Our drive: to noticeably relieve families in everyday life and promote genuine community.
Our conviction We believe that families should not have to navigate everyday life alone. That is why we bundle reliable information, practical everyday help, and local contacts in one place – without advertising, without distraction.
How we proceed Every piece of content is reviewed by experienced parents and educators. We rely on clear language, real-life experiences, and concrete checklists – not theoretical knowledge, but tools that help immediately in family life.
